Our Journey: From Landmark Change to Sustained Impact
The genesis of RISE was sparked by a turning point in Indian history. Before 2018, the LGBT+ community faced systemic barriers to employment. The Supreme Court’s landmark 2018 judgment decriminalizing Section 377 opened the doors for a new era of corporate inclusion. Since our inception in July 2019, RISE has spent 6 years (2019–2025) championing a bold vision: encouraging Indian companies to hire LGBT+ talent.

2026: A Broader Vision for Inclusion
This year, RISE is evolving. While our commitment to the LGBT+ community remains steadfast, RISE 2026 officially expands its focus to include Women Talent.

Why this expansion? True inclusion is intersectional. We recognize that to build a truly representative workforce, we must address the unique challenges faced by both LGBT+ & Women in the modern corporate landscape. By bringing these talent pools together, we are:
