Linux Administrator

What we are looking for/ Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

• Expertise in Linux based operating system - Redhat / Suse.
• Expertise in VCS / VxVM , RedHat Cluster OR SuSE Cluster.
• Certified Linux Redhat Administrtor.
• Working knowledge of standard Linux backup and recovery tools.
• Working knowledge of standard Linux security Methodologies, hardening procedures, and best practices.
  

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Plan and conduct installations, transitions, upgrades of Linux running in a VMWARE environment.
  
• Analyze server and storage characteristics (e.g., CPU behavior, latency, transmission speeds, packet loss and throughput), triage and troubleshoot problems.
• Excellent communication & documentation skills, both in technical and non-technical arenas.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on core ESXi features, Shielded VM Management, Virtual workload provisioning.
• Working experience on Creating VMs, templates on Hyper-V.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Filesystem, LVM, PV and different process.
