Analyst - Alternative Operations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA a plus Minimum
• 4 years of accounting experience, preferably including Public Big 4 and partnership or private equity fund accounting Strong technical knowledge of complex accounting concepts, structures, and investor allocations.
• Experience using partnership accounting applications (e.g., Investran) a plus
• High level of proficiency in Excel
• Superb sense of client service with ability to appropriately exercise professional skepticism and judgment
• Innovative and analytical, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be extremely organized, motivated, able to multitask and take initiative to enhance processes
  

Responsibilities:
Assist in Managing a Client Delivery team and book of clients that provides the following services for Private Equity Fund clients:

• Maintains books and records of Fund Entities, Special Purpose Vehicles, and Carry plans
• Prepares financial reporting and all supporting documentation at the fund and investor levels
• Review fund level financial statements, footnotes, investor-level capital account statements and fund related activity
• Calculates partner allocations and maintain waterfall models Capital call and distribution management
• Review the financial statements, capital calls and other client deliverables produced by the Fund Accountants.
• Prepare or assist Fund Accountants in preparation work for more difficult entities Manage client deliverables and cultivate/maintain client relationships
• Ownership of the deliverables to clients from an end to end perspective across various functions
• Partner with various internal teams (Core Accounting, tax, treasury, client on-boarding) and external partners (clients and auditors)
• Develop team members by setting objectives, providing performance feedback, and participation in mentoring program.
• Monitor team's adherence to control procedures
• Interpret fund agreements in order to determine impact on financial reporting and partner capital accounting requirements
