About Citi

At Citi, we believe we can use our power as a global bank to affect social change. As an employer, we are committed to inclusive business practices and policies because it is the right thing to do. It leads to improved business performance and a better company culture where employees feel welcome, safe, and respected, and can focus on their work without the fear of prejudice or discrimination. We work hard to establish a strong DEI foundation for the company at all levels, and create paths for the next generation of leaders across every dimension of diversity. With renewed commitment every day, together, we can achieve a more equal, equitable future.

We believe that everyone belongs in banking. Understanding that diversity fuels our culture and business success, we are expanding the representation goals we initially set in 2018 so that Citi better reflects the communities we serve and is a place where all can thrive.

Proudly supporting our LGBTQ+ colleagues

At Citi, we are committed to driving growth and progress and supporting diverse talents in their career journey. While we recognize we are still on a journey to build a more equitable workplace, we are proud of what we have accomplished thus far:

  • We are the first firm in Wall Street to announce aspirational representation goals for LGBTQ+ talents in early career recruitment globally. We are also a founding member of the Stonewall Global Program and continues to work with other organizations to advancing LGBTQ+ rights, including the Human Rights Campaign, Out Leadership, and Out & Equal.
  • We are awarded the highest score on Human Rights Campaign’s LGBTQ+ Corporate Equality Index for 15th consecutive year.
  • As of April 2021, colleagues who have a preferred first name will see only their preferred name in Global Directory. We rolled out dedicated resources for colleagues to better utilize pronouns, and support them in becoming powerful allies.
  • In April 2022, Citi expanded its adoption and surrogacy benefits to support colleagues in the adoption of a child or surrogacy parenting arrangement. We recognize that employee benefits are critical to ensuring equality and mobility for our colleagues. Citi’s global future of work and resiliency programs include policies aimed at enhancing the employment experience for all of our staff and their dependents at Citi.
